Further to my retaliation about a troll earlier today I hereby share a video of Elon Musk protecting what he has built and the emotion he feels at the nay sayers who throw stones. You would have thought a man who is one of the richest men in the world would be thick skinned. I know this has nothing to do with domain names but it has something to do with protecting you integrity and how to stop trolls in their tracks.
Enjoy the video is you haven't already seen it. (This video does not open up on mobile devices, please use the link https://youtu.be/oia53xOLDmw which will open the video in your browser).

I stumbled across a blog today that the owner reviewd my first pilot book'Domain Sellers Handbook'.
Since then I have published and re-written the first book which is now called 'Domain Power' which the blog owner has not reviewed........... Please note I kept most of the chapters from the first book and proof read the book before it went to the publishers.
I have had good reviews and only today I got an email from one of my clients:
Now I knew it was not to everyones taste and I am open to constructive critisism any day of the week, but to have a 'TROLL'
that latched on to my book and rip into it only made me angry as he did not have the balls to confront me but instead made derogatory comments on his blog which happens to be on the 5th page for the search terms 'Renata Barnes', which makes him a 'COWARD'. It was only by chance that I came across it as I was searching my name as I do every so often to see if there are any muppets talking about me.
I have since made the blog owner aware of my distain and I will also scrutinise his blog with SEO Analysis publicly to see how he likes it being made a public mockery of.
Karma's a bitch.
I have also done some due diligence today and all he is a Manager whilst I am a CEO, so what does that tell you?.........
In order to critise anything one needs to be an expert in the field. I believe he is a domain flipper who read my book as his domains don't sell and I presume he needed help......bless his cotton socks.
On reading the blog post I noticed the date he posted the review and it was January sometime, well since then I have re-written the original pilot book and have launched 'Domain Power'.
Seeing as his blog is not doing so well being ranked perhaps and considering he designs websites he needs to learn a thing or two about SEO management.
Perhaps he needs my help to get on the first page of Google
This is dedicated to him so that he knows that you should respect people.
Here is his SEO Report....
I don't want to mention him or his blog or give him a free backlink or even more air time than I have to as he doesn't deserve it but he should learn a thing or two from me before opening his mouth.
He quoted me saying that there is nothing solid on the internet regarding buying or selling domain names. I have been on all the forums, listened to all the podcasts and people are still registering totally useless domain names.
So if that was the case that there was solid sound proof information on the internet everyone would be doing it and making money from it. This guy and his commentees needs to re-evaluate what they are saying.
When I told my daughter about him she said if one of her friends says a movie was rubbish she would still want to go and see it to judge for herself.
So the moral of the story is do not take someones opinion on face value and check it out yourself!
Before I end this rant I would like to say 10% of the profits of this book are going to the 'Multiple Sclerosis Society' So its for a good cause.
You can find the book on www.domainpowerbook.com as well as all major bookstores.
Yesterday 27/03/18 I wrote "Has anyone else experienced this, Godaddy are renewing .co.uk domain names a fortnight before renewal date"?
When I pulled them up about it they blamed Nominet and said Nominet have enforced all registrars to auto renew .co.uk domains in Advance.
I then phoned Nominet who said this is nonsense and they have made their legal department aware of the situation.
Has anyone else had a similar experience or is it just me?
Anyway yesterday I was told I would get a refund and was told to cancel my domain name which I did.
Godaddy took payment 14 days before renewal date. WATCH OUT PEOPLE, GODADDY ARE AUTO RENEWING .CO.UK DOMAINS 14 DAYS IN ADVANCE.
Moving on today I received an email saying they could not give me a refund.
I immediately went on the phone today and asked for a refund and was told by the first rep that they could not refund my card but they could renew a different domain name.
I insisted I wanted to speak with a manager or supervisor and by coincidence I got cut off.
Being like a dog to a bone I was not going to let this lay, so I phoned them again but this time I said I would phone Nominet and cause big problems for them if they did not give me a refund and to no suprize I got my confirmation email saying that I was having a refund.
Don't let these big Gorillas bully you.
Google are no better with their bullying tactics and have been fined millions for blocking third party pay per click advertising. So with me threatening to use Bing they were not phased by this and I now know the reasons why!!
I have now turned off auto renewal on all my domain names and will use my desktop calendar to remind me and you should do the same.

How many domain brokers do you know that have a PHD in Domain Brokering?
What qualifications does a domain broker need?
I do not know if such a qualification even exists, but it has been put to me how qualified am I in domain brokering?
Since I want to answer the question the best way I can, unlike real estate one does not need a license to trade.
Registrars on the other have to have licenses to do business.
I am not a registrar although I do know a thing or two about operating such a business.
Domain brokering on the other hand is not always as simple as selling goods or services online and not doing any work other than listing the service and then selling it.
Sometimes it requires extensive marketing, phone calls, letter writing and meeting with prospective clients to negotiate and seal a deal. Sometimes it requires website development, financial planning and business consulting.
For a list of websites I have developed please visit to view my portfolio by scrolling to the bottom of the website on the landing page: www.ukwebsitedesigners.co.uk
So, as I think I have mentioned before in a previous post on this blog my skills akaqualifications are as follows, I started website design and domain brokering in 1993, I had been doing photography and marketing since 1983.
Since then I have incorporated my skills into services which I offer on several websites, forums, blogs and social media sites.
My skills and services I have acquired over the years are as follows:

Oh and did I forget to mention I have several publications online with my latest book (Pilot Edition) 'The Domain Sellers Handbook' which is currently sold in all major bookstores including Amazon as well as the new version 'Domain Power' I plan to launch shortly and finally and this is the cherry on the cake (Launched March 2019)..... I was taught everything there is to know about domain names and website design by two people one of which is 'Adrian Maziak' who works in the headquarters of Microsoft. Here is his link: https://patents.justia.com/inventor/adrian-arkadiusz-maziak
He was the one that gave me my very first laptop in 1993. Oh did I happen to mention he is also happens to be my brother! So for the Naysayers and Doubting Thomas's consider this " He who is without sin amongst you, let him first cast a stone at her"John 8.7
Otherwise do not judge unless you want to be judged........
"I know I am blowing my own trumpet here but I am good at what I do and I know what I am talking about" and a domain broker similar to any CEO has to wear all the hats in order to run a successful business. Do not have just one skill, acquire many skills. Fortunate for me I have been in this industry for over 35 years (i'm now showing my age) Nothing happens over night, you have to work at it and be passionate about it. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
Remember when I first published my blog I said that this one photographer that took advantage of me by blackmailing me that in order to get paid for the websites I developed for him I had to babysit his photographic studio for free, well I thought I would teach him a lesson and persuade one of his high paying clients to come to me.
At first for the last two years it worked fine as I said I would do the work for free with upto 3 revisions. I won't say what the project was about or name anyone but two years on this client at first would give me small monetary gifts. However recently as he is obssessed with his project he has changed from giving me monetary gifts to paying me with chocolate. Don't get me wrong I do love chocolate, but week in and week out he just pays me with chocolate. which is a bit much.
So today I gave him the shock of his life when I produced a quote for a similar project and showed him how much he has saved as I had undercut other service providers of which this photographer would have charged him without a doubt.
So today after I showed him the quote I had made for another client, he went quiet and I think it sunk in that he has taken advantage of me too.
It will be interesting to see if he continues to pay me with chocolate and if it comes to it I will have to call it a day.
Some people get paid with money, gold or bitcoins whilst I get paid with chocolate.
I might as well put a sign on my website that I accept chocolate too.......just joking, I prefer money or gold any day.
